Have an Ice Day!

The weather here today feels like this card, windy and cold, but not ice skating weather.

I did catch a fox trying to ice skate the other day though, here he is. Not grey yet.

Cutest Little Card!

I received this from an A muse Addict who signed up for the Bumper Cards! I'm so lucky Esther got me! She did a fabulous job!

When Hubby is Home!

Well the big news is Santa brought me a Cricut expression for Christmas! I am so excited, I really thing this will let me be even more creative!
Just a quick test on how it works, and here's what I produced! So simple and so quick, amazing thing this expression is!

Christmas was Successful

We had an early morning with lots of excitement, we had a mostly "technology" holiday with lots of Wii paraphenalia, DS games, and an MP3. But Mom got the best deal a Cricut Expression and a external hard drive with 1T memory, a Terabyte didn't even know they made them that big, but man, I downloaded all my photos to the drive and whoo hoo! I have some speed back on my computer! And the MP3 charged at the same time!

And here's a few cards I gave away to my family at our family christmas, this year I packed cards in groups of 6 and gave about 17 packs away yep! that's 102 cards.

I drew in the striped dress this is so fun to color. A muse tiny stamp for the background.

A quick distressing and a little coloring and you have a great friend card.

One more Happy Birthday from the A muse Simple Wishes Set, the white pen really jazzed up this card.

Enjoy the rest of your week, my family is visiting from Houston and I think I'm gonna try to get out shopping for a bit with my SIL, just to see what kind of deals we can get. I'll be back on track with challenges and posts next week. Stay tuned class samples will be posted soon!

Stamp of the Week over at A muse Addicts....

The first one is Rudolph, I think there is one rudolph stamp left at Stampin & Scrappin Time if anyone is in search of it, but if you took an Amusapooloza class with me you might already have it.

And santa silhouette, there are more samples down the page a bit, check them out if you missed them before! Adding the wreaths with the copic markers was fun!

Remember the Spirograph?

I loved this thing and I think this was the beginning of my paper art passion.
My MIL was sitting for the kids on Friday, so I could enjoy a dinner with my husband and well yes, we went to the ice fishing show too! Any hoo, we brought a wreath to my MIL and she had a wreath hanger up in the closet, well DH went looking for the wreath hanger and what to my wonderous eyes would appear but an almost perfect 1967 VINTAGE KENNER SPIROGRAPH! I went WILD, I've been looking for one, hoping to find one at the local rescue mission etc. Well anyway, needless to say the kids and I can't pull ourselves away from the thing! Here's a sample of our creations! Don't you just love it!

Mini Treat Bags - from #10 Envie

Little Treat Bags I used to make for all the kids school activities when they were in preschool. So Simple and would hold mini candy canes. You can decorate any way you please and right now there are a lot of already decorated envies out there. Don't forget to add little ribbon handles, these can hang on the tree too!

stamp #10 envie

Cut envie in half

score at 1/2 inch on 3 uncut sides, sorry this picture isn't rotated the bottom of the envie is on the left side :)

fold to really crease the envie and turn folds to the inside tuck bottoms under
(you can tape these)

All set fill with whatever you can fit, great way to hang a gift card on the tree. I have surprised my friends by slipping the ornament on the tree, and they find a little prize after the holidays. Usually these are my friends who insist on not accepting anything, also 1 really nicely decorated sugar cookie fits beautifully. Have fun!

VMAA Bonus Round

Your favorite movie bonus round, this represents one of the Santa Claus movies, when he's riding in the sleigh and trying to get the principal to like him, with the snow falling all around, that's my favorite part, but the snow globe comes from his son Charlie! Love all of those movies

VMAA Challenge

Wow what a blast for an evening, just finished the Virtual meeting of amuse addicts, so much fun watching everyone work on their cards. Here's my creation, photography not fabulous but working on a card for 30 min, is a tough challenge, These all had to do with Holiday Movies. Hope you like em!

VMAA#4 - Favorite childhood memory or tradition, this represents the string game, we play this every xmas eve and there is string all over the house! so much fun to find the gift at the end of your string!

VMAA #3 - staples for Scrooged

VMAA#2 - blues and glitter for Polar Express

VMAA#1 - card for kids

Also tonight we had our instructor meeting at the shop and these were so fun to make for my friends.

Package I made for my friends at our gathering tonight.

This is what's inside the little bags
